Ying Yu Jade Resources

My jade carver likes to choose an "auspicious day" to begin carving jade for my orders. Of course, I would like to have my order quickly, but I respect that having it carved on an auspicious day is one of the things that makes Ying Yu Jade unique. The carver is a Doaist who follows the principles of feng shui, and I can always feel the good qi energy from jade I buy.

One of our most popular products is jade ben wa balls and jade eggs for women for kegel exercise. It's very difficult to get these made so they are nice and smooth and highly polished. We recently purchased new equipment so we can get the best quality.

After the jade is purchased, it's cut into blocks so the carver can work with them

Then the cubes are placed on the machine.

Jade stone is very hard and special diamond cutting tools are needed for carving. This makes it very hot, so water is needed to cool the jade and the equipment. It is really messy and dirty work!

Finally the ball shape is made.

The jade is then polished. When you receive your jade ben wa balls or jade eggs, be sure to wash them very good. You might want to bring hot water to a boil the first time. But heat damages jade, so don't boil them regularly. You can keep them clean with soap and hot water.
