Ying Yu Jade

This is the jade bangle I wore during February and most of March, 2007. I was looking through my inventory for a small jadeite bangle for a customer, and saw this one had a crack in it, so I kept it for myself. Those of you who have discussed jade with me know I don't really care for lavender, but this has a hint of lavender and is very pale green. By Western standards, it's probably not very pretty, but it reminds me of the sunsets in summer in Florida, the lavenders and grays just as the sun sets. It's A quality Burmese jadeite, all natural color. 53mm flat inside and very wide 15mm, and is a struggle to get on my wrist because wider bangles fit like they are smaller. This jade bangle has become brighter as I have worn it. Jade likes daylight and moisture. But A quality natural color doesn't change color, it only becomes brighter or richer. If your jade really changes colors, it might be because of your body qi, but more likely because it has some enhanced coloring in it. Or you might have let your jade bangle get too hot, or exposed it to hot sun, as heating is a treatment to enhance color. This jade bangle has a soft, calming energy, and I enjoyed wearing it.
The bangle below is the one I wear on Chinese New Year, and for 2007 which starts February 18 and is the Year of the Fire Pig.
