Sometimes bad things happen to good jade.
Sometimes jade bangles break. Or they don't fit anymore

#1: Double a silk scarf and knot a bangle onto one end. Slip the scarf around your throat, then tie the other end through the bangle into a loose half-bow. This has the double benefit of keeping the jade close to your thyroid and keeping your neck and throat warm! As a singer, I know the value of throat maintenance in windy or chilly spring weather and rarely venture out without a scarf in my bag that complements my outfit.

#2: A longer, rectangular scarf can be woven through belt loops on low-rise jeans for a lovely, fun sash, with either end knotted onto your jade bangle for an eye-catching belt closure. Not too tight, now - and don't dance to close to that cowboy with the big buckle that might scratch your jade!

#3: Spring weather forecasts can be subject to mischief. When that scoop neckline is suddenly a little too fresh - but a sweater is too much - the addition of a lovely light wrap can be just the ticket. Try weaving the ends of a lovely crocheted shawl around and through a bangle as you knot it around you. Be sure to knot the shawl in such a way that your bangle will not slip off and become lost or damaged!

#4: I haven t tried this, because it isn t swimming season yet, but I love to use sarong-style wraps over my swimsuit as soon as I come out of the water - to hide a multitude of liabilities! I think this summer when I m relaxing after a swim I ll knot one of my jade bangles into my wrap to take advantage of a little more jade energy while I unwind. (Being careful, of course, to keep the jade from soaking up too much sun! But I'm all about filtered shade anyway, so no worries!)

Tip: Always make sure your knots are secure enough to safeguard the jade that safeguards you!

#5: Smash broken jade into small pieces to use as a healing medium in the "frown ease" wrinkle reducers and Chinese medicine pillows

#6: Since I am a jewelry lover, I would suggest to string gemstones like freshwater pearls, tiger eye, amethyst, etc. and use a small bangle which doesn't fit me anymore to be the center piece of an opera length necklace or longer to complete the necklace. It would be connected on both sides of the bangle for a nice balanced look. I've also purchased various beads (from the International Gem Shows or Bead Shows) to do this with carved pendants. You can also hang a smaller pendant to dangle in the middle of the bangle. Just to give you an idea of what I do when I have time to make jewelry. It's fun
