Jade bangles can also be worn with other kinds of bangles for an interesting appearance. When you have jade or another piece of jewelery that is special, wearing it uniquely makes it your "signature" piece. A couple of years ago I acquired a collection of pre-ban natural elephant ivory bangles. These have a beautiful old patina, and are also natural, and look lovely with jade.
The top set are my bangles, the next "set" are individual bangles that are available for purchase in the Ying Yu Jade store. The wide ivory bangle looks very good between the two jade bangles and enhances their appearance. Jade against your skin looks different from jade on a white background, as I take the photos, so the ivory can really bring out the green of the jade especially if it is a softer green. And you can see how attractive a "mossy" jade bangle looks with ivory.
I like to wear the ivory bangles, and an armful of them looks like an elephant tusk. A jade bangle between ivory bangles is a spectacular "look".
Bangles of any kind are "in" this year, and you can have bangles that are different and uniquely yours by choosing vintage and unusual materials for your bangles.
