Outstanding in the Field returns for our third visit to beautiful Coleman Farm. We look forward to spending time with the charming father-son farmer team Bill and Romeo Coleman. Bill Coleman is a connoisseur of rare plants; he travels internationally to gather unusual plant varieties. Some of his exotic finds may end up in the afternoon's feast. The meal will be prepared by Richard Mead of Sage on the Coast in Newport Beach. Chef Richard is a long-time passionate supporter of local farms and farmers markets. Tablas Creek Vineyard will be pouring their fantastic Rhone-inspired wines.
Outstanding in the Field events feature a leisurely tour of the
hosting farm followed by a five course, farm-style dinner at our long table set in a scenic spot. Dinner is accompanied by a wine paired with each course. Diners are joined at the table by the farmer, food producers, a winemaker and other local artisans associated with the meal.
