Customers have told us that they love videos about our products. Videos help you see the product more three-dimentionally, and in motion so you get a better idea of what they look like. We added a video to the home page that is a sampling of some of the products on the web site. After we get back from our trip, we will make and add videos of other products, and with information about jade, too. I wish I could stick my hands through the computer to show you in person some of our fabulous jade things, because the "real thing" is always nicer than the photo shows. But since we don't have that technology, I hope the videos will help. I also hope that our efforts to provide information about jade help build trust with you, and that my enthusiasm and love of jade shows! October 19

We are taking a week of vacation time next week, October 25-November 2. We will close all our stores the afternoon of October 24, open again on October 31 and resume shipping November 2. I don't know when I "lost" the testimonials web page, but it has been missing for several years. And a lot of the testimonials are missing. But I linked it back on again, on the index page, and will add testimonials as I receive them. I do get wonderful comments almost every day from customers who are happy with their jade, and don't know why I "forgot" about that page. I think I removed it from the main web site when we finally got an automated shopping cart system in 2005 which included the option to write a review on products, but what has really happened is that it's easier for customers to reply to their "order confirmation" with their comments. And since most of the products are one of a kind, when it's sold it's gone from the system and you can't leave a review on it. But you can write a review on a similar product by logging into your account, finding a product, and there should be a "write a review" statement to click on the right hand side of the page. And of course, I would really appreciate your review, because it helps customers make decisions about purchasing, and reviews disappear when the product the review is on gets sold, so many of the reviews no longer exist. When you sell one of a kind jade items, that just the way it goes! October 14

Life has been very hectic and busy this past week, and I've been drawing on both the yin and yang energies in my jade bangle to keep me going. When I need more energy to keep going, I look at the darker green in my jade bangle and rub it. Scientists have done studies that what our eyes see affects our brain and changes the chemicals in our bodies. So not only the qi energy coming from your jade, but also the appearance helps your qi energy. When I look at and rub the white yin parts of my jade, it helps to calm my mind and spirit. That's why I like jade with light and dark colors, for balance. The "moss in snow" pattern is very good energetically. Also looks great with anything you wear.

We always get to the airports early because we would rather get through TSA and wait than wait til the last minute and be stressed out about getting to the gate before it closes. So that gives me plenty of time to "people watch". I was interested to notice what early fall fashions women are wearing. The biggest fall fashion accessory this year is the fashion scarf, hung around a jeans jacket or flowy sweater, or doubled around the neck in the place of a necklace, even wrapped around a handbag or totebag handle and not even worn. The second day we were in Ohio I woke up, looked at my jade bangle, and wondered if someone came in at night and changed bangles with me. It looked so dull, the color didn't look right, and it seemed gray instead of white and lavender. I had a headache, my sinuses were congested, probably because of all the allergens I no longer take medicine for, and my jade really reflected the way I was feeling. I've been home for 24 hours now and the green is starting to look like the imperial green it is, not a sickly dying green, and they greyness is less. When you wear your jade bangle all the time, and have a high level of self-awareness, you can really see your jade reflecting your health. Any doubts I had about moving from Ohio to Florida vanish when I see how my jade looks, and when it's happy, then I know I have a higher chance of being happier and healthier. October 7

I'm traveling for a few days this week, and decided to wear black jade for protection, physical, spiritual and emotional. There's a Chinese belief that black jade cleanses, keeping germs and viruses from away from you in travel, hotels, planes. But, I don't want to give up my every-day jade bangle, and I don't want to stop wearing the jadeite beads on my right wrist, so I added a black Chinese jade bangle to the wrist with my beads. Looks great, sounds great "singing" together. October 3.

I like to wear the same jade bangle all the time because the qi exchange between body and jade feels so good, makes that jade bangle glow and get prettier as it's worn. But I need more yang qi when the weather gets cool, and that time is now. Darker color has more yang energy. But I think my jade bangle has a very good balance of yin and yang with it's white color, hues of soft lavender and imperial green and charcoal veins. I cannot sell this kind of jade on the web site, because it's the fine grained old mine "lao pit" with the good color coming from all the natural "jelai" clarification lines that allowed minerals to form the fabulous color. Some of these lines are on the surface, can be felt. They are not cracks or considered to be imperfections, but I when I used to sell them, customers complained they good a "cracked" bangle not worth the price they paid. (See "is it a crack" click here) Jadeite, jade is stone. Stone is not perfect. These jelai show more in fine grain, high quality jadeite, but are also what make them so beautiful.
